Management Associate (MA) Program is a high potential new employee development program. The objective of program is to build new future leaders in targeted functions. This 3-year program is a fast track program for new grad. Program participants are expected to demonstrate excellent performance consistently throughout the program. MA will work on 6-month rotational basis around 2 years in Thailand and if they deliver remarkable results during the first 2 years, they will earn entitlement for overseas assignment.
MA employees are assigned important responsibilities from the start and will learn through hands-on experience in real-life situations. They will be assigned projects that link directly to TU strategic plan, stretch but realistic, able to deliver within rotation timeframe (6 months). The idea that is that MA will learn and develop their knowledge and skills through 70-20-10 concept.
70 is experiential learning through job rotations which designs in accordance with targeted home function for example MA of Sales and Marketing Department will rotate to Production Department, Quality Department Research & Development Department and Planning & Logistics Department. In each rotation, they will be working on strategic projects, stretch but realistic, able to deliver within rotation (6 months) and sustainable in order to drive business change and growth.
20 is coaching from Line Manager, HR, MM, Business Leader, mentoring from assigned mentor and feedback from evaluation of competency assessment, project report out, demonstration of 6 Values, Leadership Expectation, which will be conducted by related persons on a quarterly basis as well as regular PMP.
10 is classroom training or e-learning in various courses for example Project Management, Time Management, Problem Solving and Decision Making etc. This formal training will provide knowledges and concepts that MA will apply in their real work.
